Get Real: Three Reasons To Make Authenticity One Of Your Core Values
The word "authenticity" may be well-known within the communications profession, but from what I've seen, most companies have yet to realize the impact that authenticity and corporate transparency can have on their business. And while agencies know its value in communicating their brands' and clients' stories, I believe companies should also understand that embracing authenticity can make employees happier, improve corporate culture, optimize operations and maximize client ROI. This is what it's done for my agency, and I think it can do the same for other companies.

Definitions vary, but at its core, authenticity is the premise of being genuine, living and leading in your truest form, communicating openly and stripping down layers to build strong, trusting foundations. Living authentically means embracing relationships, work, activities or companies that allow you to be your truest and best self and encourage honest conversations, feedback and progress. It also means forming real bonds, recognizing others for who they are and being inclusive of one another.
